Mirror Lake is located on the southern edge of Jackson County and is part of the Grand River watershed. It was born out of land expanded from a smaller lake to its present size in 1965 when the Grand River was dammed. The size of the lake is approximately 75 acres and it is a moderately deep lake, around 40 feet.
Mirror Lake Association was founded in 1984. There are 226 members with a total of 388 lots. The 97 lakefront properties account for 25% of the total number of lots.Membership in the association is required with property ownership .
Membership dues are $100 for the first lot and $80 for each additional lot.
Only members in good standing can use the lake facilities.
Membership meetings are held the last Sunday in September.
The purpose of the Mirror Lake Association (MLA) shall be to do all things necessary to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of the property owners of the Mirror Lake Development.
Only property owners are allowed to be members of the association by submitting their annual dues payment to the Mirror Lake Association (MLA). Annual dues notices are sent in March to cover April 1 through March 31 the following year. Upon receipt of payment, members will receive a MLA Membership Card allowing full use of the lake and park facilities. Current members must return the boat ramp key in order to receive present year key, or pay an additional $10 cost to cover the replacement. New members must present boat registration/title or proof of ownership stating the property owner's name to receive a boat ramp key and new watercraft sticker allowing the craft on the lake.
